"Statistics NEVER made decisions, but they SUPPORTED them."

Warren Beatty

Warren Beatty is a retired University Professor who holds a Ph.D. in Statistics from The Florida State University. He taught Business Statistics, Management Science, Management Information Systems, and Decision Support at the University of South Alabama (where he managed one of the world's first campus-wide interactive computer networks before joining the faculty) and the University of West Florida. He was an early proponent of the Internet and spreadsheets as teaching tools.
He was the author or co-author of more than forty referred academic papers.

He was a consultant to numerous gulf coast small businesses for thirty years, specializing in using statistics to support decisions.

He has been married for almost fifty years to the same woman. He has three children, and (so far) three grandchildren.
He served for twenty two years in the U.S. Army, and went to Desert Shield/Desert Storm, where he was a Group NBC officer.
He is a HUGE car racing fan, particularly Formula One and NASCAR. He was a very slow round track racer.

He can be reached to talk racing (or statistics or anything you want to talk about) at: slowroundtracker@gmail.com
